Noam Chomsky: Message for the 2nd Fukushima Evacuation Trial

Noam Chomsky in the 2003 World Social Forum

The immense tragedy of Fukushima is cruelly compounded by the failure of the government to conduct a serious inquiry into its human consequences, and to protect and care for the victims.  It is of particular urgency to ensure that the children who are in the endangered areas will be evacuated to rescue them from even greater disasters.  That is the very least that honor and compassion demand.  I trust that the just pleas of the survivors will soon receive a full and proper response.  And that resolute steps will be taken to make sure that nothing like this will ever happen again.
